THE ROLE OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
This research aims to: (1) analyze the role of digital transformation in product development, (2) identify key digital tools that enhance product innovation, and (3) evaluate the impact of digital product development on market success. A survey design was employed to gather data from product development professionals. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 379 participants from technology firms in Port Harcourt was determined, ensuring comprehensive insights. The technology sector was chosen for its high rate of product innovation. The reliability coefficient score of the survey was 0.88. Findings indicate that digital transformation significantly enhances product development by providing more innovative, efficient, and customer-centric products. Recommendations include investing in advanced product development tools, fostering a culture of innovation, and continuously monitoring market trends to enhance product success.
